He ignored the lady. "That's not going to do kid." He performed two handseals and froze for a second and looked at the two of them.

I held my sword tight in my hand, my other hand free to pull Shire in or repel any attacks.

Shire pulled free and swung again. The man closed his eyes and everything had froze. The only thing that moved was the confusion on Shire's face and the man. "It's too soon for us to fight, I'll watch from the shadows for now." He performed another string of handseals and placed his finger on Shire's eyes. Another tomoe appeared in Shire's eyes and his sharingan disappeared. The man disappeared and the jutsu ended. Blood spurted from several holes in Shire's body that opened up.

"Shire!" I ran to him and stumbled. I didn't have to keep up my facade any more and the exhaustion hit me like a truck. Whoever that man was he was obviously very strong.

He dropped and was about to hit the floor. "Blo..od." His eyes closed.

I caught him before he dropped to my knees. I was getting weaker by the second, a small price for using Planetary Devastation in my condition. I cut my wrist and held it up to Shire's mouth "Hurry before you pass out"

He sucked her wrist in took in her blood. After a while he opened his eyes and stood up. "Are you okay?"

He gave a weak smile and unwrapped one of his bandages and wrapped it around her wrist. "You'll lose too much blood." Then he frowned. "Im not sure."

"I don't really know, I just got that feeling." I stood with some difficulty "Come on let's head back home." It was dark now, the moon giving off a soft glow.

"You're a bit too short to carry me," I said, took a few steps, tripped then fell to my hands and knees gasping. My anbu mask fell off and clattered to the ground leaving only the mask that covered everything from my nose to my chin. I'd never felt this weak before.

His eyes narrowed. "Idiot." He lifted her over his shoulder and spread his paper wings. His wing span was surprisingly long and he gently floated up into the air. "Who said we were walking."

I lay down in my bed trying to drown out Dusk's ranting. He wasn't really happy that I was in such bad shape.

Shire's head shot up as he did something completely uncharacteristic. His body began to tremble. "Why me?"

"i don't know, he said it wasn't time for the two of you to fight then and that he'd be watching." I reached out and rubbed his head "I won't let him anywhere near you. He hurt you once and that isn't going to happen again"

He looked at Dusk. "I can defeat her." He pressed his finger to his chin and began to think. "I just need to develop a jutsu. One that can.." He looked to his mother. "Im not telling you!"

"I wouldn't expect you to love," I said smiling "When you develop this new jutsu and it works you can fight me. Keep one thing in mind though, the Crystal Angel never loses."

He looked at her with a hard look his red eyes gleaming even more than usual. "The crystal angel will be crushed to a million shards and sold to the black market." Then he grinned from ear to ear. "And those pretty eyes of yours will be mine."
